Always on the move: The name Movado (Esperanto) is a program. New designs and innovations set the pace of the brand, who produce timepieces appreciated all over the world. The Movado collections for men and women are diverse and always with the distinguishing feature of thoughtful design – a feast for the eyes of their owner. The Movado Bold collection with over 100 models presents sporty-elegant quartz watches with Swiss movements from chronograph to classic designs with crystals on colored dials. Always unmistakable is the dot at 12 o’clock, which at times also catches the eye as a gemstone.
The Museum Classic, with its minimalist look, houses quartz and automatic watches with certain extras such as mother-of-pearl dials, diamonds and date displays at 6 o’clock. Mesh, steel and leather straps and round cases without numerals are the features of the collection.
Automatic watches for men with 41 mm dials, transparent case backs and date display at 3 o’clock – this is Movado SE collection. Pavés de Paris dials in stainless steel cases project a sporty look that is emphasised with various complications such as stop function and 100 meters water resistance. For ladies, this collection also has some special features like a diamond bezel with yellow gold dots that continue on the bracelet and mother-of-pearl dials.
Modern 47 & Artist Series
At first glance, the Modern 47 and Artist Series captivate with bright colours to the proven simple design. Red dials and colour-matched bracelets to the yellow gold case join textured dials inspired by sand dunes. Collaborations with well-known artists in the Artist Series captivate with tasteful colours and geometric shapes on the dial and straps, as well as limited editions with vegan straps and motif-printed dials.
Restrained, but still a real eye-catcher is the Movado Face collection, which consists mainly of watches with tasteful colours and beautiful accents such as ladies chronographs with lilac hands to yellow-gold finish or monochrome men’s watches in black ion-plated stainless steel to a black chronograph dial on a warm grey leather strap.
The Series 800 for men reveals sporty and highly functional diving watches and chronographs – including 200-meter water resistance and a 38-hour power reserve. Contrasting this is the Bangles collection for women, with feminine, delicate models in rose gold, yellow gold or stainless steel with mother-of-pearl dials, diamond studding and quartz movements.
With a collection that looks back to the tried and true, Heritage is a tribute to Swiss watchmaking. The models for men consist of sporty and elegant three-hand watches with date display to yellow-gold cases and cognac leather straps, as well as 43 mm chronographs in muted colours with and without tachymeters. This collection stands out as it is created without the significant dot at 12 o’clock that usually adorns all the brand’s watches. The small sporty Strato collection for men also has a special feature: the open date ring on the dial of the quartz watch combined with a matte black or blue finish.
The Vizio collection presents men’s models, one of them an automatic watch, with a sporty finish as well as carbon dial and Swiss Super-LumiNova accents.
The 1881 Automatic collection for men and women is probably the most classic of all Movado collections. Fine automatic watches in a wide variety of sizes and color schemes – with a date display at 12 o’clock for men, and adorned with diamond markers for women. In addition, the choice of stainless steel or calfskin bracelets.
As the name of the latest collection suggests, the Museum Sport is the minimalist sporty version, with wonderful chronographs and three-hand watches, a perfect combination of design and everyday practicality. The men’s watches in muted colours are equipped with date windows and thanks to their slim shape, they fit any average wrist particularly well.
